Layered Learning CPD Packages

Live CPD Events are interactive spaces that encourage reflection and discussion amongst colleagues working in education across the UK.

The layered learning CPD packages provide an opportunity to build upon existing knowledge. Each package is made up of a theory-based recorded session, a reflective practice session, and a practical session.

We are currently providing two CPD packages which are available to access as an introductory 3-Part series:

      • Mind, Body and Mental Health
      • Self-harm and Suicidal Behaviours in Children and Young People

Read testimonials from previous training and CPD sessions here.

These packages aim to layer professionals’ learning and develop awareness of different issues/themes relevant to work in schools and education settings.

Each package is open to all staff working with babies, children and young people across a range of settings and age ranges (from Early Years to University).

Once you have completed the package, you will have access for a limited period to a dedicated Padlet page which will include further materials and resources.

Registration

Please note, due to team capacity, we do not monitor emails during live online training events.

All of our online events are delivered via Zoom.

For safety measures, you must register and purchase your ticket via Eventbrite to be admitted into the event - your Zoom name must match the name that you registered with (how to change your name on Zoom).

We will only be admitting attendees up until 10 minutes into the event, after which entry will no longer be possible.

Please note, we reserve the right to cancel events if there is not a viable number of attendees up to one week prior to the session date.

When you sign up to a BEC event (online or in-person), you are automatically added to our subscribers list. You can update your preferences or unsubscribe from this list when you receive an email.

We use Mentimeter for some of the Live Training sessions. You will need to enter a code to join in and be part of the group discussions (via desktop or the mobile app) which is provided at the start of each session. The link is available here: https://www.menti.com/

More information about Mentimeter can be found at: https://www.mentimeter.com/

Automated captions are available in all BEC live online training events.
